Thank you to our valued sponsors for your continued commitment to child health research in Manitoba
The Academic Skills and Knowledge (ASK) rotation provides foundational tools for future pediatricians to synthesize, evaluate, translate and perform high-quality research in Child Health. The month-long rotation is part of the first-year resident curriculum for pediatric residents and includes expert teaching in statistics, quality improvement methodology, critically appraising topics, ethics in research, and how to ensure research includes an equity, diversity, and inclusion lens, among many other topics. It is the foundation for residents who go on to complete a scholarly project throughout their training program in Winnipeg. The ultimate goal is to integrate an understanding of high-quality research into their future independent clinical practice and to build the future of clinician-researchers in Child Health.
