CHILD HEALTH RESEARCH DAYS

Bringing together the best pediatric researchers in Manitoba and beyond to share knowledge and move research into action.

Child health research: then and now

About the Theme

2024 marks the twentieth anniversary of Child Health Research Days (CHRD). Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM) was established in 2001 and embarked on its first-ever research conference only three years after inception, which aimed to promote the new and exciting child health research happening at CHRIM.

As part of this year’s milestone celebration, CHRD will bring past and present students, trainees, early and senior career investigators together, both local and those who’ve moved on into other fields, back to Winnipeg to showcase current research projects, share their findings, collaborate with fellow alumni, and network with professionals in their field.

This exciting alumni event will celebrate the researchers and projects that laid the groundwork for CHRIM in its early years, which have now formed into national projects and research themes that incorporate modern research methods, including patient voices, equity, diversity, and inclusive perspectives, and showcase the next generation of researchers, who are shaping the future of research through innovative and diverse ways of thinking.

We hope you will join us as we celebrate the past twenty years of research discoveries and achievements in child health research at CHRIM that have improved the health outcomes and quality of life for children across Manitoba and beyond.
