Awards

Each year during the Annual Child Health Research Days dinner, a number of awards are given out to CHRIM community members who demonstrate excellence. The Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba is proud to celebrate and recognize the outstanding contributions of our research community.

We are now accepting nominations for the 2025 CHRIM Excellence Awards, which highlight excellence in leadership, innovation, research support, and trainee achievement.

Champion Award

Honours a senior CHRIM member (10+ years) who exemplifies leadership, expertise, and a long-standing commitment to advancing child health research through mentorship, collaboration, and scientific excellence.

Rising Star Award

Recognizes a new CHRIM member (less than five years) who is actively developing their research program and contributing meaningfully to the CHRIM community, while establishing themselves as a future leader in child health research.

Lab Master Award

Celebrates a dedicated member of a CHRIM research team for their outstanding contributions through years of service, professional development, and commitment to improving lab operations and supporting research excellence.

Trail Blazer Award

Acknowledges the scientific merit and excellence of research and presentation by a CHRIM-affiliated resident, research fellow, or graduate student in a training program.
